How did we make this happen?
Initial Site Survey and Consultation
Our customer contacted SGS to enquire about the possibility of installing Solar PV. Our Renewables Manager, Nathan Hollywood, visited their home to assess the suitability of their property. During the consultation, Nathan discussed their current energy usage so he could recommend the right system capable of generating sufficient energy to power their home. He discussed the benefits of fitting a Solar Battery to make this a super energy efficient system, so that excess energy can be stored and utilised when the solar panels can’t generate power, such as at night.
How long did the Installation process take?
Within just 1 ½ days the system was installed, fully operational and already saving money for the customer.
What did we install?
14 x Longi 430w All black panels (25-year warranty) giving the customer a 6kW total array. This is expected to produce 5,631 kWh annually.
1 x Tigo optimiser for each panel to ensure maximum panel efficiency.
1 x GivEnergy 5kW Generation 3 hybrid inverter which includes 12-year warranty with SGS now being advanced installers for GivEnergy.
1 x GivEnergy 9.5kW battery (12-year warranty) storing the user’s excess energy and giving them overall an 86% self-sufficiency rating from the national grid.
1 x Bird blocker to prevent any birds from nesting underneath the panels
