Project Objectives:

The custodians of Harnham Parish Hall contacted SGS with the intention of finding solutions to saving energy, reducing running costs and providing a more sustainable and planet-friendly way of powering the hall.

This Trina Solar PV system is expected to deliver around 50% of the annual electricity used by the hall with a projected energy saving of around £3,258 in it’s first year. This will also reduce, CO2 by 1,865 kgs.

System Specification:

SGS were chosen to carry out the installation of this bespoke solar solution, comprising:

  • 21 x Trinasolar Vertex S+ 445W full black solar panels  
  • 1 x Huawei 10kW hybrid inverter
  • 1 x Huawei LUNA 5kW battery storage system
Environmental and Economic Impact:

The solar PV system at Harnham Parish Hall is projected to deliver substantial financial and environmental benefits, including:

  • CO2 Reduction: The system is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,865 kg per year. This is a significant contribution to the Hall’s sustainability goals.
  • Cost Savings: The Hall is projected to save around £3,258 per year on its electricity bills. These savings will significantly offset the costs of maintaining and running the hall.
  • Energy Savings: Solar power will provide around 50% of the Hall’s total energy requirements
