It’s been a hectic start to 2018 with all hands on deck for the entire SGS team. Storm Emma and #TheBeastFromTheEast have not only blown in a flurry of snow and sub-zero temperatures, but also a flurry of emergency heating and plumbing work and call outs – with phones ringing off the hook! Putting the icy cold weather to one side, we’ve also been incredibly busy managing all sorts of major electrical, plumbing and building work, all of which we’re very excited to share!
The Chequers Hotel, Newbury
We’re currently in the process of carrying out the refurbishment of The Chequers Hotel, Newbury. At the moment, we are around ¼ of the way through having completed various jobs including some rather swish commercial lighting fitted by our electrical engineers in the lounge (an area that is serving as the temporary dining restaurant whilst refurbishment continues). We look forward to bringing you the full story once refurbishment is complete!
Traveller’s World, Salisbury
We have also carried out an alternative heating installation for Traveller’s World in Salisbury. There was not enough wall space within the shop to fit wall hung heaters, so are expertise was called upon to install some infra-red ceiling panels, providing a discreet heating source for the travel agency.
Sandy Balls Holiday Village, Fordingbridge
During those extremely cold temperatures we all experienced at the end of February, we were called out to Sandy Balls Holiday Village, Fordingbridge, to carry out some emergency commercial engineering work.
With conditions as they were, the Fordingbridge holiday park experienced some boiler related issues which our top-notch heating engineers were able to sort, getting everything back on track and leaving the whole establishment warm with plenty heating and hot water.
